Trains and coaches from Victoria
Victoria is the London terminus for Southern trains to Brighton, the Sussex coast and Surrey, Southeastern trains to Kent, and the Gatwick Express. It is also a major Underground interchange for the Victoria, District and Circle lines. A short walk south is Victoria Coach Station, where National Express and other coaches leave for cities across Britain and Europe.

The drive from Kingston to Victoria
The usual route takes the A3 through Roehampton and Wandsworth, then heads to Vauxhall and crosses the Thames on Vauxhall Bridge, arriving at Victoria from the south. When the A3 is slow, the driver may go through Putney and along the Embankment. Traffic around Victoria itself is often heavy, so the final half-mile can take a while.
Rail station or coach station?
This is the most common mix-up we see. The railway station and the coach station are separate buildings, a few minutes apart on foot. With heavy bags, that walk is more than you want, so please tell us which one you need. If you are catching a coach to an airport or abroad, give us the departure time and the coach company, and we will suggest a pick-up time.
Why a taxi rather than the train
From Kingston, getting to Victoria by rail usually means a train to Clapham Junction and a change, or the train to Waterloo followed by the Tube. That is fine for a commute, but harder with suitcases, pushchairs or a large group. Our 7 seater taxi is a good fit for groups heading to a coach trip together.
Victoria and Gatwick
If you are flying from Gatwick, you might think of taking the Gatwick Express from Victoria. From Kingston, a taxi direct to Gatwick is normally quicker and avoids going into central London first. For Heathrow, see our Kingston to Heathrow taxi page.
Collections from Victoria
Victoria is one of the busiest places in London to be picked up, with buses, coaches and taxis competing for space. We agree a meeting point when you book, usually a nearby street where the driver can stop safely. If you are coming back on a coach, give us the coach company and the expected arrival time, as coaches are often delayed by traffic. The driver will check with you by phone before setting off.
Theatre and evenings out
Victoria is close to several theatres, as well as Buckingham Palace and Westminster. Many people book us for an evening in town and a ride home afterwards. Book the return at the same time and agree a meeting point, as the streets around Victoria are busy late at night. From Norbiton and Kingston Hill, the trip is often a little quicker via the A3.
