London Bridge was rebuilt over several years and now has a huge, bright concourse beneath the platforms. Thameslink trains run north through the City towards Bedford and Cambridge, and south to Gatwick and Brighton. Southern and Southeastern trains serve south London, Surrey, Sussex and Kent. The station also connects with the Northern and Jubilee lines.

The drive from Kingston

The driver normally takes the A3 to Wandsworth and then follows the river east through Battersea, Vauxhall and Southwark. This keeps the car on the south bank for most of the way, which avoids crossing back and forth over the Thames. At quiet times it takes just under an hour.

London Bridge station has entrances on several sides, including Tooley Street, St Thomas Street and Borough High Street. If you are catching a train, the driver will normally drop you at the nearest convenient entrance. If you are heading to a particular building, such as an office in More London or a hotel near the Shard, give us the exact address. Borough Market is a short walk from the Borough High Street side, and at busy times it is easier to walk the last few minutes than to drive into the narrow streets around it.
