About Teddington
Teddington sits on the Middlesex bank of the Thames, opposite Kingston. Its two main streets, Broad Street and the High Street, are lined with independent shops, pubs and restaurants. To the south is Bushy Park, one of London's Royal Parks, and to the east is Teddington Lock, where the tidal Thames ends. The National Physical Laboratory is also based in Teddington.

Close to Heathrow
Teddington is on the north-west side of Kingston, which puts Heathrow within easy reach. The car heads through Hampton Hill and Hanworth to the A312, avoiding Kingston town centre altogether. For long-distance airports such as Luton, Teddington is also well placed, because the car can join the M25 near Heathrow quickly.
Crossing the river to Kingston
Many Teddington residents use Kingston for shopping, the hospital and the station. The two towns are joined by Kingston Bridge via Hampton Wick. The bridge is busy at peak times, so allow extra time for morning trips into Kingston, especially for appointments.
Evenings and events
Teddington's riverside pubs near the lock are popular on summer evenings, and Broad Street gets busy at weekends. Booking your ride home before you go out means a car is planned for you, even on the busiest nights.
Twickenham Stadium is only a short drive from Teddington, and on match days the whole area gets busy. We also carry people from Teddington to theatres and restaurants in central London, and home again afterwards. For a group, our 7 seater taxi means everyone can travel together.
Popular pick-up points in Teddington
- Broad Street and the High Street: restaurants and pubs, busy on weekend evenings.
- Teddington station: trains towards Kingston, Twickenham and Waterloo.
- Teddington Lock: riverside walks and the footbridge to Ham.
- Bushy Park gates: walkers, runners and families visiting the park.
Teddington sits close to Twickenham Stadium, so rugby match days and big concerts affect traffic across the area. If you are travelling on an event day, even for an unrelated journey, allow extra time and book ahead. The driver will avoid the stadium roads where possible.
For journeys from Teddington into Kingston, the route over Kingston Bridge is the most direct but also the busiest. At peak times, the driver may go round via Hampton Court Bridge instead. Your fare stays the same either way, because it is fixed when you book.
Nearby areas
We also serve Hampton Wick and Ham, both close by, as well as Thames Ditton on the other side of Hampton Court. See every area on our areas we cover page.
