Trains from Euston
Euston is the London end of the West Coast Main Line. Avanti West Coast runs fast services to Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Chester, North Wales and Glasgow. London Northwestern Railway serves Milton Keynes, Northampton and the West Midlands, and the London Overground runs to Watford Junction. Euston is also being prepared as the future London terminus for HS2, which is why you will see a lot of construction work around it.

Why take a taxi from Kingston to Euston
By rail, Euston means a train to Waterloo and then the Northern line, which is busy at the best of times and hard work with a suitcase. A taxi takes you door to door. It is especially useful for families going to visit relatives in the North, business travellers heading to Manchester for the day, and anyone with an early train that leaves before the first connections from Kingston.
Our usual route
The driver typically heads towards Putney Bridge, then through Fulham and Kensington, and up through Marylebone to the Euston Road. Another option is the A3 to Vauxhall and north through Westminster. The Euston Road itself is often congested, so the driver will pick the best approach on the day.
Drop-off and pick-up at Euston
Ongoing building work means road layouts and entrances around Euston change from time to time. The driver will get you as close as they can to the main concourse. For collections, we agree a meeting point when you book, and the driver will call you when they arrive.
Planning your departure
For a long-distance Avanti service, aim to be in the station 20 to 30 minutes before departure. Platforms are often announced only a few minutes before the train leaves, and the walk to the far platforms can take several minutes with luggage. For a 9am train, a pick-up in Kingston at around 7.30am is sensible on a weekday.
Travelling with children and luggage
Long trips from Euston to Manchester, Liverpool or Glasgow often mean big suitcases, and families travelling for school holidays or Christmas carry presents too. Getting all that onto a train at Kingston, off at Waterloo and down to the Northern line is hard work. With a taxi, the luggage stays in the boot until you reach Euston, where trolleys are available on the concourse. If you are travelling with a young child, give us the child's age when you book so we can talk through what you need for the journey.
Choosing a car
One or two travellers with a case each fit easily in a saloon. Families heading north for the holidays with presents and bags may prefer a 6 seater. We collect from across the borough, including New Malden and Surbiton. If your train actually leaves from King's Cross or Paddington, check before you book.
