Norbiton at a glance
Norbiton starts where Kingston town centre ends, on the eastern side of the Fairfield. The main roads, London Road, Cambridge Road and Kingston Road, carry traffic between Kingston, New Malden and the A3. Norbiton station sits on the line towards Wimbledon and Waterloo.
The area is home to Kingston Hospital on Galsworthy Road, the Kingsmeadow stadium on Kingston Road, and, up the hill, Kingston University's Kingston Hill campus and the large houses of Coombe.
Kingston Hospital journeys
A lot of our Norbiton work is for Kingston Hospital: patients going to appointments, visitors, and people being discharged who need a lift home with their bags. Parking at the hospital can be difficult, so a taxi saves a lot of circling. If you are not sure how long an appointment will take, call the office when you are ready and we will send the nearest car.

Students and the university
Kingston University students use us at the start and end of term, when they arrive with boxes and suitcases or head home for the holidays. For a big move, our 6 seater fits more luggage than a saloon. Parents visiting for open days and graduations also book us between the campus, their hotel and the station.
Airport and long-distance trips
From Norbiton, the car can reach the A3 quickly at Robin Hood roundabout or Malden Junction, which helps for trips into London and for the long runs to Stansted and Luton. Heathrow is reached through Kingston town centre and out over Kingston Bridge.
Popular pick-up points in Norbiton
- Kingston Hospital: appointments, visiting hours and patients going home after discharge.
- Norbiton station: on the line to Wimbledon and Waterloo, handy for late arrivals.
- Kingston Hill campus: students, staff and visitors to Kingston University.
- Kingsmeadow: the stadium on Kingston Road, busy on match and event days.
On match days at Kingsmeadow, Kingston Road and the streets around it fill with supporters, and stopping is difficult. If you are going to a game, book ahead and agree a pick-up point a short walk from the ground for the return, where the driver can wait without blocking traffic.
For hospital visits, think about timing. Afternoon visiting hours and early-morning appointments are popular, and the roads around Galsworthy Road can be slow. Giving the driver the department name, such as outpatients or maternity, helps them get you to the right entrance first time.
